Price in CDN
About this piece: This acoustic Eleca sunburst guitar was signed by the infamously reclusive living legend Cat Stevens, who changed his name to Yusuf Islam more than 20 years ago. The Signature Library's Bryan Ulrich has always been a big admirer of Cat Stevens music. After retiring from music in 1980, Cat Stevens changed his name and became a devout muslim. Bryan was able to meet Yusuf for the first time in Yorba Linda, CA at a very small and private function (Majikat DVD concert release party) for the Muslim community in Yorba Linda.
After that meeting, the hosts of the event invited Bryan to attend a private brunch with Yusuf the next day. At this brunch Yusuf not only signed several items, but also sang a song acapella to Bryan!
Signing description: In 2008 and 2009, Yusuf returned to Los Angeles to film a video for his latest album "Roadsinger" and then returned a few months later to play his first show on American soil in more than 30 years. Bryan was able to sneak his way into this show and to the VIP reception after.
Acquiring several signatures between these few months, the ultimate signature piece was the very last one Yusuf/Cat signed for The Signature Library, this guitar...
The acoustic guitar is signed beautifully in a dark blue paint pen with the Classic and unforgettable lyrics "Ride on the Peace Train." Own your own piece of folk history.
