Black Sabbath Hunkers Down in Toronto

Shortly after beginning the final leg of their North American tour in Halifax last week, Ozzy, Tony & Geezer hunkered down in Toronto, despite not having a scheduled show in the city.  Toronto became home base to these forefathers of heavy metal during their Ontario tour, with shows in in London, Hamilton and Ottawa.  During their week long stay, Ozzy and company ventured out to enjoy Toronto’s great restaurants and scenery just as the city started to warm up.  Ozzy Osbourne and his friend Billy Morrison (Billy Idol’s guitarist) dropped in at the ROM one afternoon, while Black Sabbath founding member and guitar god, Tony Iommi, went with his wife for traditional dining at Ruth Chris Steakhouse underneath the Hilton hotel on Richmond street with his wife.  Ozzy’s wife Sharon was not seen in Toronto until Monday when she hit Bloor Street solo to indulge in some shopping.  The band departed Tuesday afternoon for the remaining concerts on their Canadian tour which concludes in Edmonton on April 22nd.  The Signature Library was able to catch up with Ozzy, Tony and Geezer at various locations around the city to have band members sign classic albums from their catalogue. Some of the albums had also previously been signed by original drummer Bill Ward, who is no longer playing with the band due to contractual disputes prior to the tour.  These albums and more from the Sabbath catalogue are now available exclusively at The Signature Library.
