James Taylor signs autographs in Toronto as he leaves to perform at the BlackCreek Summer Music Festival 2011

James Taylor helps kick off the summer concerts in Toronto with a sold out show tonight at the BlackCreek Summer Music Festival held at York University’s Rexall Tennis Center. As the legendary singer/songwriter departed his hotel for an early soundcheck today, he mentioned that he was “looking forward to playing the new tennis center venue.” James Taylor, as he often does, took the time to autograph many classic records from his vast catalogue for The Signature Library. Much like his music, JT was as mellow as they come when he went for a stroll down Toronto’s Bloor St West, going unrecognized in a hat and green shirt.
